Our stores are grateful for your donations of gently used clothing for adults and children, accessories such as jewelry, handbags, ties and scarves, household items - small kitchen appliances, dishes, etc., and furniture. You can also become a volunteer at your local store.
Become a Sustaining Donor today and provide direct assistance to many in our communities who struggle to maintain a home for their family. One sickness can mean the rent or utilities won't get paid. You donation can help many. Be part of the solution for people in need through your support of our systemic change initiatives and disaster relief efforts.
There are many opportunities for you to volunteer in the St. Vincent de Paul organization. Each Catholic parish has its own local conference to serve the physical needs of its neighbors, some parishes also have Thrift Stores.
POWER of the PURSE - Our signature fundraiser is great fun! This exciting event brings a spotlight to poverty issues surrounding women and families in western Kentucky. During the year our committee gathers high-end purses to auction off at our Gala each November. Of course we also have other highly sought after items for the men in our lives. If you are interested in joining in the planning of our event please email svdp.owensboro@att.net
All Vincentians possess an awareness that our blessings are to be shared with our brothers and sisters in need.
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Vincentians) embrace the charism and spirituality of our Patron, Saint Vincent de Paul. His love and service to the poor are an example for us today to "evangelize the poor" and bring to them the wholeness of the love of Jesus Christ in a broken world.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul believes that “no work of charity is foreign to the Society.” Vincentians in in conferences around the world help people of all religious or non religious backgrounds in different ways, whether that be in housing, clothing, food, transportation, prayer, companionship and other systemic needs.
What statement do you wish to make to your children, grandchildren, to the world itself about who you are as a person and how you feel about your fellow human beings? Create a great example for your children and grandchildren by leaving a legacy through us. Supporting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul here in western Kentucky is a beautiful way to leave a permanent legacy for you and your family.
